Each year on the first weekend after August 20th, the town celebrates their patron saint, St. Bernard. As expected, the party does not last just one day, and citizens of the town are known to eat, drink, and host many sports and recreational activities for days.
This brings us to the real reason we are writing to you today - do you want to participate in the first ever recreational bike race for St. Bernard in Funtana?
On Saturday, August 19, 2017, at 10:00 am, the first recreational bicycle race will be held for the celebration of St. Bernard, protector of Funtana. The bicycle race is designed for recreation and children older than 12 years. An MTB bike is mandatory.

Start: 10:00 at the Funtana football pitch
The route is about 25 km long and goes along: football field Funtana-Flengi - Delići - Montižana - Dračevac - Valkarin - Fuškulin - Funtana
The route will take you on field roads, macadam and a small part of asphalt.

The tour will be led by a professional guide and escorts.
There will be a break and refreshments at Muntižana.
This bicycle race is not of competitive character, and the winners are everyone who reaches the finish line!
For all participants, lunch is provided - sardines and wine!
Participants are advised to use a protective helmet and bring a spare tube. Helmets are mandatory for participants under 14 years of age.
The race is organized by BK Poreč, Bike Club Parenzo, and the Tourist Office of Funtana.
