Adria Mobil Cycling Club and Cycling Club Zagreb have organized a cycling marathon from Croatia to Slovenia! The marathon will begin on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 11 am.

The marathon will ride through Zagreb - Zaprešić - Harmica - Rigonce - Dobova - Brežice - Krška Vas - Kostanjevica - Općina Šentjernej - Ratež - Petelinjek - Novo Mesto.

Marathon participants will meet in front of the National Theater in Zagreb (Marshal Tito Square) and continue to the national and university libraries (Zagreb fountain). The group will be escorted by police to Zaprešić where there will be a brief ceremony and presentation of Zaprešić (approximately 15 minutes). This will be followed by the official competitive start, according to the above route, with the objective being the main square in Novo Mesto. The marathon will ride in all weather conditions. 

This is a recreational cycling marathon, ensuring participants a safe journey of 80 kilometers. 

AWARDS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE ORGANIZER: 

For the Croatian participants who reach Novo Mesto, buses will be organized back to Zagreb. 

All participants who complete the marathon will be awarded medals, a symbolic gift, and lunch.

ENTRY FEE: € 20 (150 HRK).

Number of participants is limited. Maximum that can apply are 160 cyclists - 80 from Slovenia and 80 from Croatia.
