Today we take a look at the history of two-wheels in Croatia with the help of Facebook Group Split kroz povijest.

We oftentimes find ourselves wondering what Split was like back in the day. While the 1700-year-old remains of Diocletian’s Palace have been left remarkably intact, what exactly in Split has changed?

Surely, the people, the dress, the trends, and the umbrellas on our favorite cafes have all gone through a transformation, and maybe some of our street names have been renamed in the mix of it all.

But today, since we love most anything that comes with two wheels, we look back at the two-wheeled revolution in Split.

Here is Split in 1968, hosting a race for racing cars and motorcycles on the former Avnoja Street.

At the start of the race is Nikša Mariani, Dule Vujičić and Riccardo De Pol.

How cool is that?
