Route description:
Excellent, demanding even for able amateurs. One of three cycling routes prepared in the MedPaths project in the Sinj town area. The route is completely marked and certain attractive sections have benches and tables as rest areas. The route begins in the centre of Sinj, at the Picadilly club, through the town park, past the Alkar Hotel, left and on to Pavići village. All on asphalt until the Beare village near Zelovo. Then comes around 2 kilometres of good gravel. In the centre of the village turn left and ride some 3 kilometres on asphalt uphill. At the very top turn right to Svilaja mountain. Another 3-4 kilometres of lovely gravel and excellent view. The Orlove Stine mountain lodge is open only on weekends, but the shelter is always open. There is rain water in the well. Back the same way to Zelovo, this time left at the church. Then comes a 2 kilometre downhill and a turn onto the ‘old’ Zelovo road and several careful kilometres with brakes. At the foot the Plišivica and Zelovo turn right onto excellent gravel and ride to popraduše, through an oak forest. At the house in the field, turn right through the valley. Next is Lučane village, then a steep descent on asphalt to the main road in Lučane. Ride the road for 2 kilometres to Karakašica and turn right and after 500 metres comes a gravel to Karaguša. Then asphalt again and uphill to an area called Šator. Some 500 metres through oak forest. Soon you’ll be back in Sinj.
