Croatian Bike Routes: A Ride through the Imotski Lakes and Fortresses

Bike path begins from the source Vrljika in Proložac Donji . After a few hundred meters, you will turn right off the road onto the gravel road that leads along Vrljika near the beautiful waterfalls. You will then go left through to Glavina Donja and then uphill through Imotski to the beautiful fortress Topana, which looms over the Blue Lake. After a small descent, you will head right to the Red Lake. After you pass the Red Lake and after approximately 1000m, you will turn right onto the gravel path that leads you to the lookout at the top of Red Lake. You will return to the same path and descend again on the road, cycling slightly to the branch at the dirt road that leads you to the edge of the canyon Badnjevice, opposite the fortress Badnjevica, which is located on the right side of the canyon. From here you will then return the same way and turn to Proložac Donji. In Proložac you will turn right and enter the canyon Badnjevice, and head to the end of the gravel road. You will then take the same route back to the road and turn right towards Prološko blato. You then ride along Prološko blato until the end and at the end, you will turn left and continue until Perinuša. In Perinuša turn left and you will cycle to the Jezerca dva oka (lakes two eyes). From the lakes, you will ride back to Zelena katedrala (Green Cathedrals), and after a few hundred meters to go back to the Konoba "kod Fabe" from where you started the ride.
