The day boasts a full program and an all-day ride that will be 87 kilometers long. Participants will be fed hearty meals, visit beautiful places such as the Ethno house Brodić and restaurant Dravska iža in Križnica, enjoy entertainment that includes jumping into the Drava river, and of course, have excellent companionship.
Here is the full program:
On July 9, 2027, the gastro - ethno bicycle race will gather at 8:00 in the center of the parking lot next to Zagrebacka banka in Virovitica.
At 8:30, the group will ride to the village Brodić which is situated 38 km from Virovitica. The group will then take a short break and plan to arrive at the farm "Ethno house family Karlovčan" where breakfast will be served around 11:30. After breakfast, participants will enjoy a tour of the beautiful estate which is a real museum of antiquities in Podravina.
At 13:30, the group will ride back to the picnic area on the banks of the Drava River with the suspension bridge for Križnica. Upon arrival, the group will partake in “Day of Europe's Amazon,” with the culmination of the event being ”The Big Jump" - a big leap into the Drava River.
Because such an event cannot go without traditional Podravina cuisine and fine wines, after the event, the group will head to the restaurant "Dravska iža" in the village of Križnica. Restaurant "Dravska iža" is famous for preparing fish dishes which will be served for lunch. After lunch and a break, the group will return to Virovitica.
The planned return to Virovitica is around 18:00.
Due to the limited number of places, there is a maximum of 150 cyclists.
