Route description:
As most arrive to Šolta via the ferry docking in Rogač, so our cycling route begins at the ferry dock. Head northwest and follow the single track to Kašjun bay. Here begins the ascent to Sridnje Selo. In the beginning the gravel is quite steep so you may need to push the bike. After that it’s an easy uphill to a fork in the road, where you can decide to choose the easier version across Sridnje Selo to Donje Selo or follow our tack which takes us via gravel to Donja Krušica and then up the road to Donje Selo. In Donje Selo cycle on gravel west to Maslinica. In this section there are several turn offs that descend to the shore line. When in Maslinica, pass the entire village and take the road to Grohote. After the first bend head to the graveyard and St. Nicholas church. Further on via gravel to Šešula bay and then back on the road. Cross the road and take the firemen’s road east. Back on the road and before Donje Selo turn into the field. Drive to the large water tank and head left, then straight through the field to a T junction. Turn right and after 200 metres left. The path here is in quite bad shape so you may need to push/carry the bike for about 100 metres to St. Mihovil church. The road from it goes to the centre of Grohote. From the parking lot turn right and again through the fields to Zaglav bay and Stankovo. Back the same way and again through the centre of Grohote east, followed by a return to Rogač.
