Mrtvački put, which translates to the “trail of death”, must sound intimidating to most. Unlike those of us that are a bit more timid, BK Timun and BK Metković bravely embarked on a ride over this so-called “trail of death” the day after Christmas.
So why is it really called the trail of death? The answer just might ease those eerie thoughts…
In the past, locals used this trail for transporting their deceased ones to the valley from the village. The trail is above and around Vid, near the town of Metković in the Neretva valley.
