Lumbarda is a small village and a municipality located on the Eastern tip of the island of Korčula, 7 kilometers away from the town of Korčula. This cycling route is provided by the Tourist Board of Lumbarda, and goes through Lumbarda – Kosovo – Glogovac – Baruža – Pržina bay – Lumbarda. The total length is 6,8 km.

This route goes around Lumbarda, offering stunning views of the village and the open sea from the southern side of the island. The route begins at the west side of the village, and at the bottom of the hill on Koldurt peninsula where the Lumbardian Psefizam was found.

The path continues slowly uphill and reaches its highest point in the area of Baruža, south of Lumbarda. A downhill road takes you back to the village on the east side, where you’ll go by Pržina bay that has a sand beach and vineyards of native grapes grk for which Lumbarda is famous among wine experts.

Along the path you can see the remains of the rich past such as a square tower from the 17th century built on still visible foundations of a roman villae rusticae from the 1st century before Christ, the remains of the bishops’ summer residence from the 15th century by the sea on the northern side, and the small church of the Holy Cross built on older foundations on the only rock in the middle of a sand field. The parish church of saint Rok with a bell-tower, on the peak of Vela Glavica, will be behind you when you go down to the fishermen’s harbor Tatinja. From there you take the road by the sea to get to the center of the village.
