Route description:
Cycling on Marjan begins from the Spinut gates. Ride along the road on a wonderful single track to Bene. At Bene turn left across the parking and enter the woods up the trim course to the fireman road. There turn right and drive to the first turn left uphill. Head to the fork and turn right to the Institute. At the end of the descent watch for the road. Turn right and on the trim course to Bene. At the crossing with the fireman road turn left, cross the road and descend to the sea. Further on is a single track to Bene where we pass by the restaurant and arrive back to the road. Here go left, cross the road and after the parking at Bene take the trim course to the Institute. When at the fireman road, turn left and on the fireman road ride until you hit the road leading to the top. There turn right and ride to the second lookout along the road where there is a single track path. At the second lookout near the ZOO we can refill water and move on to the third lookout, the top of Marjan. To get there take the single track path on the right side of the road. After touring the top of Marjan and the third lookout, at the exit below the lookout, turn left and take the path to the saddle. At the end of the path be careful of the road. At the saddle head to Bene. This section requires a good bike and skill, so we recommend pushing the bike on foot. Descend to the fireman road and head straight onto the trim course and follow it left until you arrive back to the fireman road. Here go uphill to the crossing and turn left to the saddle. Climb to the lookout near the fire lookout. At the saddle head east on a gravel road on the south side of Marjan to the first lookout. From there drive to Spinut and Spinut Gates. From the Spinut Gates take the trim course on the left side of the road to Bene and further uphill to the fireman road. There turn right to the road and on the road turn left and ride the single track on the left to the Institute. Continue on to the ramp. At the ramp turn left and uphill to the top of Marjan. At the first bend go straight and ride the single track along the south hills of Marjan. The single track ends at Meje where a road takes us to Matejuška, where this route ends.
