Route description:
From Split (Brda area) we drive on the Solinska street, watch for traffic. An alternative route is Hercegovačka street, Zagorski put, Solinska road. Passing through Solin, from the crossing at Bilankuša, we drive uphill to Ninčevići and at the second crossing turn left. In this section there isn’t a lot of traffic and asphalt is good, new in the Rupotina area, so it’s a pleasure to drive. At the bend, after two bunkers, we turn left and towards the Umac overpass, where there is also a path left to climb St. Jure. The ascent to the overpass is demanding and the surface is concrete. Those who ride this section in reverse, must be careful as there are canals which can throw a cyclist if speeding. The gravel begins at the Bobani village through Blace and all the way to the highway underpass. There is little asphalt on this section and after the underpass gravel begins again all the way to Orošnjaci village. Some 100-200 metres before the underpass is a descent, be careful as there are many obstacles. From the underpass to the Bobani village the gravel is a pleasure to ride. Further on is asphalt to the Krolo houses, once we pass them turn left at the intersection, then right onto a gravel ascent leading to Kapetanovići village. The gravel is wide and pleasant to ride. At the third kilometre to Krolo houses, we come to a road fork, turn left and reduce speed at the descent as the gravel is rough with larger rocks. Arriving to Kapetanovići begins the asphalt and descent until we arrive to the road leading to Malačka and Kaštela. At the crossing for Radošić, on the right, is Kevina cave. Passing the highway underpass begins a long ascent all the way to Malačka. Later comes a quick and pleasant descent to Kaštela, deserved refreshment by the sea and back to Solin and Split.
