Route description:
This bike route is part of a traditional cycling event “Cycling Through Heritage,” organised by BK Timun from Split and Hvar locals. The route starts in Stari Grad and takes the road through towns: Dol, Vrbanj, Svirče, Vrisnik, Pitve, Jelsa, Vrboska. Orientation is simple as the route follows the road so there are directional signs. A gravel road is used to descend from Vrisnik to Jelsa, where the route continues on the road to the turnof for Ager. Careful of the turn to Ager, which is around 1 kilometre after exiting Vrboska, as if you miss it you will follow the road to Stari Grad. The route is not really for mountain cycling, but you will surely enjoy the beauty of Hvar.
