Požega today has kept its medieval street routes, with a dominant medieval square created at the intersection of four access routes (largest medieval square in Croatia), settled directly beneath the northern hills of Požeška Gora. North of the square to the former Stone Gate (toppled in the 19th century) were three characteristic parallel streets of which the middle one (Cehovska-Sv.Florijan) and west one (Županijska) remain as well as a part of the east one along the baroque square of St. Terezija.
