WHO ARE “SMUCEKI” AND WHY SMUCEKIJADA?
Friends who are always out and about. We ride bicycles, hike mountains and most importantly, spend time together and spread good vibrations and enjoy each wandering through nature.
Smucekijada is meant to promote cycling and tourism in Samobor and the area. The cycling event welcomes every cyclist, even if you haven’t spun your pedals in a long time.
So we decided to do a humanitarian event with the cycling club BBK Šišmiš for the Home of St. Joseph - home for abandoned children.
The humanitarian cycling event is organised without financial means and with the help of friends, partners and donors.
DATE: 11.9.2016.
MEETING AND REGISTRATION: Trg kralja Tomislava, Samobor 9:30h – 10:50h
START: 11:00h
CYCLING FINISH: HUNTING SOCIETY ZAPREŠIĆ - Ul. Bana Josipa Jelačića 169, Zaprešić
TEMPO: Moderate (15-20km/h)
SECURITY: 10 security personnel from our group and police escort
EVENT END: 18:00h
DONATION: 35,00kn
After the event three commission members will meet and count the donated money, to be handed over to the abandoned children’s home.

IMPORTANT: For all participants arriving with vehicles we have organised an area at the finish where you can park them. IMPORTANT!!
We ask all participants to wear a helmet. Participants who take part do so at their own risk and are obligated to respect all traffic regulations. Cycling will take place in traffic in one lane. Bring enough fluids. In case of breakdowns, a service van will be at the end of the column. There is a break at Orešje lake lasting 10-15 minutes. Children younger than 12 must be accompanied by adults.
RETURN: all participants will return individually at their own risk, respecting traffic regulations.
SURPRISE: Charlie band and a surprise will take care of the great atmosphere at the finish.
