Hosted by the Krapina Club of Alternative Sports, this recreational bike race will take off at 9 am in Krapina, located in northern Croatia in Krapina-Zagorje County.
The event will host two races, one “big neanderthal” and one “small neanderthal”.
The “Big Neanderthal” will take cyclists on an adventure from KRAPINA – RADOBOJSKO STRAHINJE - sv. JAKOV – STRAHINJČICA – G. JESENJE – LOBORŠĆAK (MACELJSKA ŠUMA) – BREGI KOSTELSKI – BREZOVICA – sv. TRI KRALJA (NAD KRAPINOM) – KRAPINA. The route is approximately 70 kilometers and begins at 9 am.
The “Small Neanderthal” will take cyclists on a shorter adventure from KRAPINA – STRAHINJČICA – G. JESENJE – sv. TRI KRALJA (NAD KRAPINOM) – KRAPINA. This route is 33 kilometers long and begins at 10 am.

8:00-8:45: Last minute registration (big neanderthal)
9:00: Big neanderthal
9:15-9:45: Last minute registration (small neanderthal)
10:00: Small neanderthal
11:45: Arrival of the first competitors of the small neanderthal
14:30: Arrival of the last competitors of the big neanderthal
15:00: Awards Ceremony
16:00: Closing events
The race will be reported in the HBS calendar.
Required equipment:
- valid MTB bike wheel sizes 26 ", 27.5" or 29 "
- helmet for the duration of the race
- spare tube / set for tire repair
- pump
- mini tool set
- mobile - battery must be full
- first aid (bandage, gauze and a few patches)
The entry fee includes a T-shirt, map with all of the control points, refreshments at Strahinjčica, Loborščak, and Brezovica, a meal for all competitors, and medals for all competitors who finish the race.
