All lovers of cycling are invited to participate in the recreational cycling race to Zavižan 2017 (0 to 1594 m above sea level). The cycling event will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017, in the organization of Northern Velebit National Park, BBK Senj, the Tourist Board of Senj, and Velebit Nature Park.
Depending on the physical preparedness of participants, start No. 1 will be at 0 m above sea level in Senj and start No. 2 at Oltara, 940 m above sea level.
The route is 38 kilometers long and the start will be on the coastal road in the center of Senj. The route then continues south but after 1 km it turns left on the hill Trbušnjak and climbs to the village Roncevic Dolac (6 km from the start). This part of the race is on asphalt and because of the upsurge is quite challenging to ride.
At 10 km from the starting point (1 km behind the village Nekić) the route turns left toward Oltara. This part of the trail is mostly gravel, with 2.5 km of paved roads before Oltara. From Oltara (start No. 2), the first 250 m of the route will be on the paved county road towards Krasno, after which you turn right on the paved road to the Northern Velebit National Park (about 7.5 km), followed by the gravel road to Babic Siče (about 9 km), until the last 650 meters ascent along the paved road to the mountain hut Zavižan where the race ends.

8.00 to 9.45 am: Start number 1 - Senj (Center, Adriatic highway) - Registration of participants and payment of the entry fee
9.50 am: Senj - Opening Ceremony
10.00 am: Start number 1 - Senj (0 m above sea level, track length 38 km)
9.00 - 10.15 am: Start code 2 - Oltara (about 1 km from Oltara by NP North Velebit) - Registration and payment of the entry fee
10.30 am: Start code 2 - Oltara (950 m above sea level, track length 17 km)
From 13.00 pm - mountain (cycling), lunch (beans) at Zavizan, and winners with prizes awarded
