Bike & Bed is a concept in Croatia that allows you to enjoy Croatia’s rich geographic diversity, from the Slavonian plains to the canyons of Velebit and, of course, the Adriatic islands, to its cultural and historical heritage and traditions.
As simple as it sounds, cycling tourists can bike through Croatia as desired and stay at various Bike & Bed registered locations. Many apartments and accommodation facilities are listed on the official Bike & Bed website, making it easier for cycling tourists to choose where they wish to stay on their ride. Currently, Bed & Bike offers a list of accommodations throughout Central Dalmatia, Slavonia, Istria, Kvarner, Highland, and Dalmatia.
Accommodation standards for Bike & Bed guests include a one night stay for bicycle tourists, complimentary secure overnight bike storage, laundry facilities, full breakfast offer or option to use the kitchen, bicycle route guides, maps, basic bicycle repair kit and a convenient contact. Some additional offers include items such as high quality bike rentals and baggage transfers.
In the future, Bike & Bed hopes to implement Bike & Train, a similar concept with fairly different accommodation standards. Once Croatia purchases new railway cars parallel to the European model, Bike & Train can be implemented as yet another enhancer to cycling tourism in Croatia.
