Sun, sea, culture, wine and great food. There are so many reasons to come to the island of Brac, the largest of the Dalmatian islands, home to Croatia's most iconic beach - Zlatni Rat - as well as the stone quarries that fed UNESCO World Heritage Site Diocletian's Palace in Split, The White House in Washington, and many other prestigious buildings around the world.
But Brac is also a major activity destination, with great sailing, some of the best windsurfing in Croatia... and cycling.
As previously reported on TCN, the Central Dalmatia Tourist Board recently unveiled a bike map of the island, a project which was launched at a villa in Sutivan frequented by former London Mayor, Boris Johnson. Johnson, a keen cyclist, agreed to take part in a promo video for cycling in Sutivan at the request of Hani Salama of Amalas Studios, a video which quickly went viral with more than 1.8 million views. Watch it here.
Salama is back, this time with another video of the recent XCM Uvali Vitar 2016 race in Sutivan, relaeased today. Check it out below, and discover why more and more people are looking at Central Dalmatia as a cycling destination.
