Route description:
Start at the parking lot of Bauhaus store in Split. Take the road to Solin and the large crossing. Go left on the gravel road and enter the Salona area. Through Salona to the amphitheatre you can enjoy in mountain cycling with a view of Roman archaeological site and ride the amphitheatre like a gladiator on your bike. From there head uphill to the main road. Left on the main road and follow it several hundred metres to a turnoff right to the large cement plant storage and arrive at its south wall. Follow the south wall to the storage and across the meadow to neighbouring houses. Circle around the northern side and climb the asphalt heading west. After that head right uphill to the quarry. Circle around the west side and take the gravel road to the cemetery. Before the cemetery go right up a cemented road. At the top of the road go right on a firemen’s road. There are several bends in the beginning and after that it heads west uphill to the Putalj mountain lodge. From the lodge keep on the firemen’s road to the Malačka road. Go left 50 metres and take the left uphill on a very demanding gravel to the overpass. At the overpass go left to the top, until you reach the mountain trail. Hike up the mountain trail to the peak and St. Ivan’s church which offers a stunning view of Kaštela bay. The return is the same way.
